Naka Drotske On Frans Steyn Future
I spoke to [Francois Steyn’s] agent about a year ago. It’s not a secret that he wants to come back. And it’s also not a secret that he wants to be close to his farms. He wants to go into farming when he finished his career. So I know he wants to come back to the Cheetahs but we haven’t spoken formally about anything. I’m not sure exactly when he’s coming back [to South Africa], and I’m not sure exactly what sort of money he’s looking at. We don’t have the budget that the other teams do but if he’s willing to come to the Cheetahs for less money than the other big unions, then of course we’d love to have a world class player like him.Naka Drotske
Sports Illustrated chatted to Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske for February’s bumper Super Rugby Preview edition about his side and their preparation for the upcoming season. He also had these interesting things to tell us about the possibility of Frans Steyn ending up at the Cheetahs when he finishes in France.
